Bitter Cold Beauty Bag

Because let’s be honest, that’s what it is around here….BITTERLY cold. Not only do these extreme temps make us shiver, they can take a major toll on our hair, skin, and nails. So there’s no better time to share my winter must haves. Never, and I mean never, do I let myself run out of these goods this time of year.

  1. Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

Seems obvious right?! Yea, but not all hair masks are created equally and we all have different individual needs based off our own head of head. But my absolute favorite for this time of year is Amika’s Soulfood Nourishing Mask. It’s packed full of nutrients and vitamins, and leaves the hair so soft and smooth. No signs of winter on those ends! But like I said, the hair mask options are endless, so hit ya girl up and I will hook you up with one that is perfect for your hair!

2. Dry Shampoo

Beanie weather and hat hair calls for dry shampoo! Redken Deep Clean and Amika Perk Up top my dry shampoo list, any time of year! A quick shot revives my roots after being smashed in a beanie and I’m ready to roll!

3. OLAPLEX 7 smoothing oil

Liquid gold, there is no better way to put it. This oil smoothies frizz, tames flyaways, extends the life of my color, provides heat protection, speeds drying time….do I need to go on? It’s a must!

4. Mirabella’s Sugar Lip Exfoliator

Dry lips? No thank you. I absolutely can not stand when my lips feel dry, chapped, and are peeling. So this little lip scrub is my hero in the winter. And it is so easy to use in a lipstick tube. Just apply like lipstick, smack those lips together, and the sugars exfoliate, dissolve, and leave behind a super moisturizing oil. Come to think of it, this should maybe be at the top of my list.

5. Lotion, Lotion, Lotion!!!

Dry skin 101! My top favs are Hempz and The Potted Plant. Good for you ingredients, and tons of moisture!

There you have it, my top 5 winter beauty must haves. Let me know if you want to add any of these gems to your winter routine or want help personalizing your own! As always, I got you!

Fall is in the Hair…

Happy Fall, everyone! Anyone else wondering where summer went? Wow, these last few months flew. What a whirlwind it has been. As many of you know, I officially opened my own business in May after 13 years behind the chair. The last couple of those years were spent managing a salon full time and working behind the chair only 15-20 hours a week. So I figured stepping back into doing hair all day I would have tons of time on my hands, right?? WRONG! You have kept me busy, and THANK YOU for that! Between being in the salon, visiting my new homebound clients, and being on location for special events ya’ll have kept this girl on the go! Seriously, the support I have received from family, friends, and clients has been amazing (and that is the understatement of the year). So basically I want to shout THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU as loud as I can to everyone who has helped and supported me while I have been working to get this business going! I am so grateful for all of you!

That being said…..it is my favorite time of year, fall!! (Although I do think peppermint > pumpkin, just saying) I have already been busy cranking out fall hair updates, and I am looking forward to more! So let’s do this, let’s create some beautiful fall hair! O, and here is a throwback to last years social media favorite fall color….

(I can’t blame you for showing this pumpkin spice dream so much love, she is gorgeous)

The Stylist behind the chair

Hi! My name is Cass, and I am the stylist behind the chair of Cassandra L. Hair Studio! I can not remember a time where I did not know without a doubt that I wanted to be a hairstylist. My big dreams started as soon as I received my first Barbie, and let me tell you those poor dolls went through some major hair transformations!

I grew up on the western side of the state in Williston, ND and moved to Fargo, ND the summer of 2007 to pursue my career. I attended Cosmetology school at The Salon Professional Academy, in Fargo, and graduated from there in September 2008. From there I started a job at a local salon, where I spent roughly the next 13 years building my skills, attending many advanced training classes, traveled for hair shows, and built some amazing relationships along the way. Fast forward to the spring of 2021, I decided it was time to shake things up and shoot for the stars! Now here I am opening my own business and I am so excited to see where this takes me!

I have always believed that everyone deserves to be pampered and look and feel their best, inside and out! That is why I not only wanted to create and deliver the best service to my guests inside the salon, but also reach individuals who can not make it to the salon. In 2021 I obtained my Homebound License, allowing me to travel to those individuals and deliver a salon/spa experience right in their homes! My in-salon and homebound service menus are packed and there is something for everyone!

The amount of love and support I have received from friends, family, and salon clients as I start this new adventure has been so amazing and I want to tell you all, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! It is because of your support that I am able to live my dream through my business and for that I could never thank you all enough!

Thank you for stopping by my site, take a look around, and please reach out if you have any questions!
